Saints' Support: Shut-ins
There a program of active
support for shut-ins - those who find it difficult or impossible to
leave their homes to participate in the life of the parish. The parish
reaches out to support these parishoners through the acute or chronic
phases of any confinement.
CD
of the weekly service
The audio of
the weekly sung eucharist is recorded, and transferred to standard
audio CDs, which are delivered that week to shut-ins and others who
were unable to attend.
Prayers
Shut-ins for
whom prayers are requested are explicitly included in the weekly prayers of the
people when the congregation gathers in prayer.
Visiting
Shut-ins are
visitied and brought holy communion by the All Saints' pastoral care
team, to add this special support to the natural program of visits by friends.
