"Experiencing Jesus" - 10 weeks in Sandy Hill Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. Sept. 30 to Dec. 2, 2009... supper in the Lower Hall (317 Chapel St.) followed by discussion based on material by Tim Scorer and Marcus Borg: (more...) EXPERIENCING JESUS For 10 weeks, we will gather for Supper, break bread and read scripture together, share prayer, ritual and reflection on chapters from Marcus Borg’s book, Jesus: Uncovering the Life, Teachings and Relevance of a Religious Revolutionary (Harper-Collins, 2006) Wednesdays, September 30 – December 2, 2009 6:00 p.m. All Saints’, Sandy Hill, Lower Hall 317 Chapel Street, Ottawa Cost $40 (Book included), $20 without Free will donation for the cost of each supper. An opportunity to: • ask questions which are central to faith and life • hear the perspective of others • share one perceptions in a safe setting • reflect on Marcus Borg's new book • open oneself to the activity of the Spirit • engage heart, intuitition and imagination as well as intellect • to share a meal ![]() From our Past: Bible Study: ![]() • Tuesdays, 7:30 p.m. in the Lower Hall of the Church Easter Bible Studies 2009 Based on the Sunday readings for Lent and Easter: the Lectionary Conversations format will be used through the 40 days of Lent and 50 days of Easter to the end of May (Pentecost is May 31). ![]() • Tuesdays, 7:30 p.m. Lenten Conversations: Covenant, Commandments and Blessing, held on each Tuesday of Lent in the Lower Hall of the Church 317 Chapel Street at Laurier E. Led by Robin MacKay and The Rev. Tom Granger, and based on the Sunday readings, this series will thoughtfully examine the meanings of Covenant, Commandment, Blessing; Transformation in the Bible and in our lives in the 21st century. Weekly Bible Study 2008 Last autumn's course on Luke's gospel finished on Dec. 5, 2008... The weekly notes will remain posted here until spring. The many participants extend their profound thanks to La Stacey for her inspiring leadership of our weekly study, and thank both David and La for their most gracious hospitality.
